Williams Ready to Fly Again
The West Yorkshire Hawks are delighted to confirm that Charlotte Williams has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2026/27 season, returning for year two in Neon and Navy.
An important and consistent presence throughout the Hawks’ inaugural NBL campaign, Williams established herself as one of the team’s most reliable performers. Whether knocking down shots from beyond the arc or attacking the basket with confidence, the dynamic guard brought energy, composure and determination every time she stepped onto the floor.
Now preparing for her second season with the club, Williams is eager to build on the foundations laid during the team’s debut campaign.
Speaking after re-signing, Williams said, “I am excited to be back for my second season! Last year was full of growth, and I’m incredibly proud of how far we came as a team. We built strong foundations, and I’m excited to continue that progress this season.”
Head Coach Marc Holmes believes Williams’ influence extends far beyond her performances on the court.
Holmes said, “Charlotte plays with real heart and there is no doubt it helped drive the team forward last season. I am looking forward to her continuing to be a leader in this group.”
With pre-season now underway, Williams has already returned to training as the Hawks prepare for their second NBL campaign, which tips off in September. As the squad continues to come together, her experience, versatility and leadership will once again be key ingredients as the team looks to build on an encouraging first season and continue the growth of women’s basketball in West Yorkshire.
More player announcements will follow in the coming weeks as excitement builds towards another season of basketball at the Hawks Nest.
