Versatile Sibbett Returns For Hawks
The West Yorkshire Hawks have announced the re-signing of versatile forward Chris Sibbett, a key player in the team’s inaugural season. Sibbett’s ability to excel in multiple positions, ranging from shooting guard to power forward, made him an indispensable asset to the Hawks. His strong mid-range shooting game consistently stretched opposing defenses, contributing significantly to the team’s overall performance.
Chris Sibbett’s energetic personality and passion for the game have endeared him to fans and teammates alike. Reflecting on the past season, Sibbett shared, “Last season was really meaningful. I became aware of my role in the team very early on and realised the importance of how I portray myself to others so that I can inspire the next generation. I am looking forward to next season and competing against some new teams in the league, as well as showing them what the West Yorkshire Hawks are all about.”
Hawks co-founder Mark Mills expressed his enthusiasm for Sibbett’s return, stating, “Chris always brings positivity to the team. He is a really good teammate and often puts his personal ego aside to help the team. On top of that, he can flat out play. It was a joy to have him represent the Hawks last season, and I expect even more from him next season.”
Sibbett is the third confirmed signing for the Hawks this offseason, joining teammates Dave Walsh and Jermayne Laing. The club will continue to announce both returning players and new signings over the coming weeks as they build towards the season tip-off in September.
