The West Yorkshire Hawks are flying high at the top of the table with a perfect 6-0 record, and this Saturday they return to the Nest for another big test as they welcome Manchester Titans to the University of Huddersfield.
Fresh off a statement 102-91 road win over Nottingham Athletic, the Neon and Navy are looking to keep their unbeaten streak alive in what promises to be another intense matchup. It’s the first-ever meeting between the two sides, with the Titans currently sitting fourth in the division at 3-3.
Hawks head coach Danny Byrne is expecting a challenge, saying “Titans are an interesting match-up. They have a mixture of youth and experience and on their day can absolutely take on anyone in the division. It will be important that we neutralise their threats and lean into our strengths as a team to get the win.”
The Hawks have been in electrifying form, led by Rob Donaldson, Dave Walsh and Dan Pilkington, who combined for 66 points last time out. But with the season heating up and the competition closing in, every game is a new opportunity to step up.
