Rose Ready For Hawks Return

In a move that has both Hawks fans and players buzzing with anticipation, the club has officially re-signed Ethan Rose, the promising 22-year-old big man. Building up to the club’s inaugural season, Rose was a key piece in the Hawks’ lineup. However, Rose suffered a devastating ACL tear in the club’s first-ever home game against the Sheffield Sharks last September—a moment that cast a shadow over what was supposed to be a historic night for the franchise.

The injury, a complete ACL tear, required surgery and has kept Rose off the court for the past 12 months. However, his commitment to the team never wavered. Despite being sidelined, Rose has been a constant presence around the squad, attending practices, supporting his teammates, and maintaining a positive influence within the locker room.

For Rose, the journey back to the hardwood has been grueling, but he’s remained optimistic and determined throughout the rehabilitation process. “My injury and rehab has been a tough and long journey that still isn’t fully finished yet but I’m working my hardest to come back a better and stronger player for the team. I can’t wait to properly be apart of the squad again and being able to step on that court in front of the fans again will be a good moment for me” Rose said, reflecting on his path to recovery.

The Hawks’ decision to bring Rose back is more than just a roster move; it’s a testament to his character and the potential that the organisation sees in him. Co-founder Mark Mills couldn’t hide his excitement about Rose’s return, stating, “It is great to have Ethan signed back up. He has been ever-present around the team throughout his recovery, and to be honest, his return to the court in a Hawks jersey will be a magical moment that I can’t wait for.”

While Rose won’t be fully fit for the start of the season, he’s expected to make his return to action early in 2025. Until then, he’ll continue to be a part of the Hawks’ team, working closely with the coaching staff and his teammates as they navigate their pre-season preparations and set their sights on the opening game later this September.
