Jackman Back For Season Two

The West Yorkshire Hawks have made a big move this offseason, re-signing centre Chris Jackman as they gear up for the 2024/25 season. Jackman, who joined the Hawks partway through last year, made a notable impact in his brief stint, featuring in four games and providing crucial reinforcements in the frontcourt.

Jackman’s brief tenure with the Hawks was marked by his impressive ability to contribute immediately. His return is expected to bolster the Hawks’ frontcourt depth, an area where they’ve been looking to strengthen in preparation for a competitive season ahead.

“I am really excited to get a full pre season and season in with Hawks this year!,” said Jackman. “spent a lot of last season and the off season getting my knee in a good place to help Hawks have a great year and I think it could be a really good year!”

Hawks Co-founder Mark Mills expressed his enthusiasm about the re-signing, stating, “It is great to have Chris back at Hawks and it will be interesting to see the impact he can have in a full season. He provides us with some extra size and quality in the frontcourt, which I have no doubt will be important for us this season.”

As the Hawks ramp up their pre-season preparations, the focus will be on integrating Jackman fully into the team’s strategy and ensuring that he and his new teammates build the chemistry necessary for a strong start. The season opener, scheduled for late September, promises to be an exciting opportunity for the Hawks to showcase their enhanced roster and new dynamics.
