Hawks Women Set for Historic Home Debut

The West Yorkshire Hawks Women are ready to make history once again this Saturday (4th October) as they take to the court for their first ever National League home game at the University of Huddersfield.

After tipping off their inaugural campaign with a spirited performance on the road against Oaklands Wolves last weekend, the squad is buzzing to finally step onto their home floor in front of Hawks fans.

This weekend’s opponents, Trafford Mystics, also opened their season with a loss, falling narrowly to City of Birmingham Rockets. Both teams will be hungry to notch their first win of the campaign, setting the stage for what promises to be a tightly contested battle at the Nest.

Player-Coach Millie Oates is embracing the moment: “It will be great to hit another historic milestone with our first ever national league home game and it will be great to take another step on our journey. This season is all about growth and I believe the team is fully locked into this and ready to compete every night.”

Due to facility availability, this home opener will be run at very limited capacity, and will offer a reduced Hawks gamenight experience. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early to be part of this special occasion.

Tickets are available from https://tktp.as/ENMGYZ and tip-off is set for 6:30pm at the University of Huddersfield.
