The West Yorkshire Hawks Women will bring the curtain down on their historic first NBL season this Saturday as they host North Herts Knights at the Hawks Nest, University of Huddersfield. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00pm.
After months of hard work, growth and determination, the Hawks will take to the floor one final time this season looking to finish their inaugural National Basketball League campaign on a high in front of their home supporters.
From the opening tip earlier this season to this final fixture, the Hawks Women have shown impressive resilience and development. Competing in their first ever NBL season, the squad has continued to push forward week after week, growing stronger, sharper and more confident with every game. The progress made across the campaign has been hugely encouraging and reflects the commitment of a group determined to represent the Neon and Navy with pride.
Now, with one final game remaining, the Hawks will be aiming to reward that effort with a strong performance and a positive finish to a memorable season.
Hawks Player Coach Millie Oates reflected on the campaign ahead of the final game saying “It’s weird to be here at our final game of the season. I am so proud of everything the team have given this season. I hope we can get a nice big crowd to bring down the curtain on our first NBL season and give us some momentum to enter the off season and begin preparations for our second season”.
Hawks fans are urged to come out and support the women’s team as they close out their first NBL season. Supporters can receive 20% off all tickets by visiting https://tktp.as/EOJFBV and using the discount code HAWKS20.
