Hawks Women Face Title-Chasing Breakers

The Neon and Navy return to the Hawks Nest this weekend as our Women’s team prepare for a huge challenge against the Milton Keynes Breakers in the penultimate game of their first ever NBL season.

After two weeks without a fixture, the Hawks have had valuable time to reset, refocus and recharge. With just two games remaining in a historic debut campaign, the squad are determined to leave the season on a high and deliver a strong performance in front of the home crowd.

Standing in their way are a Breakers side currently fighting for the league title. It is a test that excites Hawks Player Coach Millie Oates, who knows her team will rise to the occasion saying “Breakers are clearly one of the best sides in the league but what I love is that I know the team will approach this game with the same energy and commitment that they have every game this season”.

That energy and commitment have defined the Hawks’ first season at NBL level. Week after week, the group has represented West Yorkshire with pride, resilience and togetherness, building foundations that will carry the programme forward beyond this campaign.

With the finish line in sight, this fixture is another opportunity to showcase the continued growth of women’s basketball in our region and to compete fearlessly against top opposition.

Fans are invited to come down, get behind the team and help drive the Neon and Navy forward. Tickets are available now at https://tktp.as/ESOOZC
