Hawks Welcome Riders To The Nest

Hawks are busy preparing for the big game on Saturday against Charnwood Riders at the University of Huddersfield. The Hawks are coming off the high of a last-minute victory against Team Sunderland, propelling them to a 6-6 record and securing the 5th spot in the division. Meanwhile, the Riders, who breezed past Calderdale Explorers last weekend, currently sit one spot above the Hawks with a 6-4 record, holding onto 4th place.

A win for the Hawks would not only even their head to head record but also allow them to leapfrog the Riders into 4th position. The last encounter between these two teams in the Midlands in November resulted in a high-scoring affair, with the Riders edging out a 100-88 victory in the closing minutes.

Hawks’ Head Coach Mark Mills is optimistic about his team’s chances. “It was great to get back to winning ways against Sunderland last weekend, and I hope that we can pick up another win on Saturday against Charnwood,” said Mills. “Riders are a well-coached and fundamentally strong team. It is an interesting matchup for us, and we look very different from when we first met them back in November. I think it will be a really good game for neutrals on Saturday, if not my nerves.”
