Hawks Signing Coup With Walsh Addition

The West Yorkshire Hawks have secured a major addition to their roster, signing the prolific 6’2″ guard, Dave Walsh, formerly of Bradford Dragons. Walsh, known for his exceptional shooting ability and leadership on the court, brings a wealth of experience and skill to the Hawks as they gear up for an exciting 2024 season.

“I’m excited to join the Hawks,” Walsh said. “I believe in the program and hope to add to its success. I’m most looking forward to getting started and sharing my expertise and experience with the younger players on the squad”

Having played the last four seasons in Division One and consistently delivering double-digit points, Walsh’s track record speaks volumes about the impact he could have for Hawks. His signing marks a significant move for the Hawks as they strengthen their lineup for the challenges ahead.

Head Coach Mark Mills expressed his excitement about having Walsh join the team, stating, “It is amazing to have Dave on board. He is a high-level player that will bring some real leadership to our team, and I am excited to see what 2024 has to bring for Hawks.”

Hawks fans won’t have long to wait for his home debut in the West Yorkshire Hawks jersey at the University of Huddersfield.  He will first take to the court on Saturday 20th January, in the Hawks’ first home game of 2024 against Sheffield Elite.
