Hawks Sign Young Prospect Andrews

The West Yorkshire Hawks have made a move ahead of the upcoming season, signing 19-year-old forward Charles Andrews, a young talent who has shown immense promise over the past year. Andrews, who played for Leeds LDM last season, is a 6’8″ power forward who has a real potential to develop into a dominant frontcourt player.


His performances at Leeds LDM were enabled him to show his potential. During the Hawks’ recent tryouts, he further showcased his potential, putting in standout performances that made it impossible for the coaching staff to overlook him.


Hawks Head Coach Danny Byrne praised the young talent, stating, “I had the pleasure of briefly coaching Charles before and he clearly showed real potential. I am excited to get to work with him again and I believe he will have a great opportunity here at Hawks to continue developing into a strong frontcourt player and to reach his potential”.


Andrews is also excited about joining the Hawks. He shared his thoughts on the move, saying, “I am excited by how talented this team is and what we are capable of achieving this season. I am can’t wait to be a part of the squad and the Hawks family.”


Fans won’t have to wait long to see Andrews in action, as the team’s preparations for the season start in earnest this week. The excitement is palpable, and with Andrews donning the neon and navy, the anticipation for the new season continues to grow.
