The West Yorkshire Hawks Men return to the court this Saturday evening as they welcome Stockport Falcons to the Hawks Nest for the first fixture of the new year.

Tip-off is set for 6:30pm at the University of Huddersfield, and both sides will be looking to kick off 2026 with a performance that sets the tone for the second half of the season. The Hawks currently sit second in the division with a 8-2 record, while Stockport are ninth with one win from ten games.

The two teams last met in October, when the Hawks travelled to Stockport and came away with a convincing 88–56 win. Dan Pilkington led the scoring that night with 20 points in a strong all-round team display. Saturday presents the chance to repeat that result, this time in front of the home crowd.

Head Coach Danny Byrne is looking forward to getting the team back on court saying “It will be great to get back on the floor and I know I speak for the entire team when I say we are determined to get our season back on track this Saturday,” he said. “I hope that we have a bumper crowd there to cheer us on to a win to open 2026 up with.”
