Hawks Men Hit the Road to Face Athletic

The West Yorkshire Hawks Men’s team face one of their toughest tests of the season so far this Sunday, as they hit the road to take on third-placed Nottingham Athletic in a high-stakes showdown at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena. Tip-off is set for 4:30pm.

The Neon and Navy are flying high, unbeaten at 5-0 and sitting proudly at the top of the table. Fresh off a club-record 113-41 win over Cheshire Wire, confidence is soaring in the Hawks camp but they know the challenge ahead is a serious one.

This marks the first-ever meeting between the two sides, and with both teams in strong early-season form, it promises to be a must-watch battle. Nottingham Athletic have put together an impressive run of their own, winning three straight including a dominant 23-point victory over Stockport last weekend.

“Athletic are one of the better teams in the division this season,” said Hawks Head Coach Danny Byrne. “We’ll have to be at the top of our game to head home with the win this weekend. They’ll be up for it, and we have to make sure we match their intensity  right from the opening tip.”

With both squads eager to keep their momentum rolling, Sunday’s matchup has all the ingredients of a classic. Expect fireworks in Nottingham as the Hawks look to keep their perfect record alive.
