Hawks Head to Bolton for Titans Test

The West Yorkshire Hawks return to the road this weekend as they travel to Bolton to face Manchester Titans in their next league game.
The Hawks have opened the 2026/27 campaign with consecutive victories, following up a hard-fought win over Manchester Giants with an 85–71 result against Nottingham Hoods in their first home appearance of the season.
Manchester Titans have also made a positive start, beginning their league campaign with a victory over Nottingham Athletic. After strengthening their squad considerably over the summer, they will present another important test for the Hawks.
Head Coach Adrian Willey wants his side to focus on delivering a complete performance across all four quarters. “For us, the focus has to be on our own performance. We need to be focused, disciplined and ready to play hard for the full 40 minutes.”
“Defensively, there can be no bad quarters. Our intensity, communication and concentration have to be there from the opening tip right through to the final buzzer. We need to make things difficult for Titans, disrupt their rhythm and make them work for every possession.”
At the other end of the floor, the Hawks will look to continue developing the style of basketball that has helped them begin the season with a 2–0 record.
Willey added: “Offensively, we need to continue to trust what we’ve been building, move the ball, make good decisions and play with confidence.”
“We’re 2–0, but we’re not looking at what we’ve done. We’re looking at the next possession, the next quarter and the next game. Another tough challenge. Another opportunity to keep building.”
