Breakout Jalota Re-Signs
The Hawks have announced the re-signing of 17-year-old wing Kesh Jalota. Jalota, who had a breakthrough season last year, has committed to another year with the club after earning the prestigious Young Player of the Year award, sponsored by the University of Huddersfield.
Coming off the bench, Jalota brought an electrifying energy to the team, particularly igniting the Hawks’ offensive play. His dynamic presence and ability to change the momentum of games did not go unnoticed, making him a fan favourite and a crucial asset for the team.
Reflecting on his re-signing, Jalota expressed his enthusiasm, “Playing at Hawks last season in my hometown was a great experience, learning from the veteran talent at Hawks levelled me up as a player, I’m excited to return for a second season and build on the last”
Hawks Co-founder, Mark Mills, shared his excitement about Jalota’s return, stating, “We have had some deep discussions with Kesh and his family in the off-season regarding the best path for his basketball future. I believe he has the potential to be a very good player. I am keen to help Kesh reach that potential and I expect him to take another big step forward this season.”
The Hawks will begin their preparations for the new season in the coming weeks, with the tip-off scheduled for late September. As the team gears up for another thrilling campaign, the club hopes that fans are getting excited for the return of Hawks gamenight to Huddersfield.
