Bokum Bohum Makes the Jump

The West Yorkshire Hawks are proud to announce that Kumba Bokum Bohum will be joining the club’s Women’s National League roster for the 2025/26 season.

The 23-year-old guard impressed last season in the Hawks Leeds League side, and now makes the well-earned step up to the senior national league team. With experience playing in both the UK and Spain, Bokum Bohum brings international insight and on-court maturity to the newly launched squad.

“I came from Spain for university and heard about the Hawks women’s team. I started playing with the girls last season and really loved the vibe. I am looking forward to showing everyone what we can achieve this season,” she said.

Hawks Founder Mark Mills is excited to see her development continue: “It was great to have Kumba join the Hawks women’s team last season and I’m really pleased that she is looking forward to the challenge of stepping up to the national league this season.”

Bokum Bohum will begin pre-season training next week alongside her teammates as the squad prepares for a historic season ahead, with opening tip-off set for late September.
