Babalola Set To Bring Experience To Inaugural Hawks' Roster

The West Yorkshire Hawks are thrilled to announce the signing of Kehinde Babalola, a seasoned veteran and former student-athlete from the University of Huddersfield, to their roster. Babalola’s wealth of experience, leadership, and strong ties to the community are set to elevate the Hawks in the upcoming season.

Kehinde Babalola, a distinguished point guard, is well-known for his lock down defense, and innate ability to orchestrate plays.   Interim Head Coach, Mark Mills, welcomes back a familiar face, remarking, “I have known Kenny a long time and he has played for me before.  I know exactly what he brings to the team and to be honest it is the intangibles that are the most important area.  It’s tough to explain but you will see once the season gets underway”

Babalola, during his time as a student-athlete at the University of Huddersfield, left an indelible mark on the basketball program. His dedication to the game and commitment to personal growth have made him a popular figure among the region’s basketball community.

“I am thrilled to be returning to my alma mater and joining the West Yorkshire Hawks,” said Babalola. “This was an easy decision.  The team’s mission is really exciting and I hope that I can play my part.  I can’t wait to get on the court with my teammates and bring the fans some wins”

Babalola’s signing with the Hawks is a homecoming that underlines the pathway that the club is building with opportunities for players to push themselves at every stage of their career.  Fans can anticipate Babalola to bring court leadership, and fierce competition this season.
